Cardi B Explains Decision to Include 'WAP' & 'Up' on New Album Years After She Released Them

Cardi B is opening up about her decision to include her previously released songs on her upcoming sophomore album.
Earlier this week, the 32-year-old “Outside” rapper finally announced that her new album, titled Am I The Drama?, will be released on September 19.
She also revealed that her 2020 mega-hit “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion and her 2021 song “Up” will be featured as the final two tracks on the 23-track album.
On Wednesday night (June 25), Cardi took to X to explain why she included the songs on the album despite releasing them years ago.
Keep reading to find out more…“This will be the last and only time I’m gonna address this.. WAP and Up are two of my biggest songs, my fans have been asking me to put them on an album, and people search for them on IOP all the time… they deserve a home..” Cardi started.
“I let haters make me not submit WAP for the Grammy’s and at this point I’m giving my fans what they want!” she continued. “These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are yall even crying about??? Do ya say anything when all these artist pull out all their little tricks and ponies to sell out??? Exactly….Now let them eat cake. Go cry about it!!!”
If you missed it, Cardi‘s rep responded to the conversation regarding the title of the album, which is a phrase that went viral from RuPaul’s Drag Race star Scarlet Envy.
