Cher's Son Elijah Blue Allman Released From Hospital Following Overdose

Elijah Blue Allman is no longer in the hospital after an overdose earlier this month.
The 48-year-old son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman was reportedly rushed to the hospital in Joshua Tree, Calif., after overdosing on June 14th.
Now, sources are confirming that he is now home after spending less than a week in the medical center, according to TMZ.

The publication reports Elijah was discharged “midweek” last week and is continuing to recover at home.
Last weekend, authorities were called to a residence for a male “acting erratically.”
“Deputies from our Morongo Basin Station responded to a residence in Landers for a male subject acting erratically. When deputies arrived, Elijah Allman, 48, was being evaluated by emergency medical personnel,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement, via People. “Deputies located drugs inside the home and Allman was transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.”
Amid his hospitalization, a source said Cher‘s only concern right now “is for her son’s well-being, and she’s doing everything she can to get him the help he needs.”
In late 2023, Cher filed for a conservatorship over Elijah to take over his finances, as he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources.” In January 2024, Elijah responded via a court filing that it was unnecessary and said he was “clean and sober from illicit substances for over 90 days.”
