'F1' Movie Opening Weekend Box Office Numbers Revealed, Director Joseph Kosinski Talks Potential Sequel Plans

F1 the movie hit theaters this weekend and the opening box office numbers have been unveiled!
The Brad Pitt and Damson Idris-led movie taking place in the world of Formula 1 debuted at the top of the weekend’s global box office, marking the first commercial success for Apple Original Films.
Per Variety, F1 the movie brought in $144 million globally, with the US and Canada bringing in the most with $55.6 million, followed by the UK with $9.2 million and China with $9 million.
In a recent interview, the movie’s director Joseph Kosinski revealed if there are any sequel plans and what that could look like.

“That’s up to the audience to decide if they want to see it,” Joseph told Entertainment Weekly about a possible sequel. “I loved working with this group of people. I loved creating our own Formula One team. I’d love to see what’s up next for APXGP and Sonny Hayes.”
