We now have our first look at Nick Frost as Hagrid in the upcoming HBO series!

This week, HBO and HBO Max announced that production on the series has kicked off, with a 2027 debut date expected.

In the press release, they shared the first photo of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter in his Hogwarts robes. Now, we’re seeing Hagrid for the first time as well!

If you don’t know, in the books, Hagrid is the groundskeeper at Hogwarts and you learn more about his backstory in the second book, the Chamber of Secrets.

John Lithgow, Paapa Essiedu, and Janet McTeer are playing the other Hogwarts “adults” – Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall, respectively.
