Hugh Jackman made a quick escape from a massive crowd with the help of a couple fans who were driving by the scene!

The 56-year-old actor was swarmed by a crowd of fans while leaving a matinee performance of his Off-Broadway play on Tuesday (June 17) at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York City.

Hugh performed the second-to-last show of his play Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes that night and left the theater on foot without a car waiting to pick him up. After being swarmed by fans, Hugh decided to flag down a random car driving by on 6th Avenue!

TMZ reports that Hugh “flagged down a random car, asked where they were headed, and when they said 6th Ave, he was ready to go.”
