Janet Jackson and Maxwell are sparking romance speculation, but don’t believe the rumors!

The 59-year-old “Control” pop icon and the 52-year-old “Ascension” singer were recently spotted on an outing together, appearing hand-in-hand at the 1,500th performance of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club Monday evening (June 7) in London, England.

Janet was smiling as she led Maxwell into the performance.

However, sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that the two are not a couple.

“Janet and Maxwell have been friends for a long time, and we’re told that is still where their relationship stands,” the report reasd.

Janet has not been public with any romances since her divorce in 2017, and Maxwell‘s not publicly dating anyone either.
