Jeremy Renner Calls Out Ex-Wife's 'Clickbait' Allegations, Shares How Their Relationship Is Today

Jeremy Renner is speaking out about past allegations from his wife Sonni Pacheco.

The 54-year-old opened up in a new interview about her 2019 claims that he threatened to kill himself and her, which he previously denied through his rep.

These claims were part of her attempt to gain sole custody of their daughter Ava, who was six years old at the time.

Now, Jeremy dished getting through stress in his life and being the subject of “clickbait” allegations.

“Whatever stress I’ve had in life I’ve tried to find a way of laughing through it,” he told The Guardian. “And that’s where sometimes cynicism comes out — you think, ‘I’m just going to have a laugh at this stuff.’”

That stuff? He said, “Being accused of things you’ve not done, right? That doesn’t feel good to anybody. It certainly doesn’t feel good when you’re a celebrity and it’s known to everybody.”

Jeremy confirmed he was referring to the allegations made by Sonni, and how they happen all the time.

“It’s all the salaciousness that happens out there. It’s clickbait, and it hurts my feelings and it dehumanizes people,” he shared.

The actor also gave an update on how their relationship now.

“[We] get along very well, and we’re in each other’s lives,” he dished. “It’s lovely.”

“It’s no one’s business,” Jeremy added. “It’s great. She’s got a new baby and she sends me beautiful pictures.”
