Katherine Schwarzenegger Hired a 'Step Parenting Coach' Before Marrying Chris Pratt
Katherine Schwarzenegger is revealing the surprising thing she did after getting engaged to Chris Pratt.
The 35-year-old author and entrepreneur married the 46-year-old actor in 2019. When they got engaged, Chris was already a father to one son and according to Katherine, she took becoming a stepmom seriously.
Katherine was a guest on the Tuesday (July 15) episode of the Parenting & You with Dr. Shefali podcast where she opened up about the big life change.

According to Katherine, getting help from a professional helped her to prepare for being a stepmom to Chris‘s son.
She said on the podcast, “Number one thing I say is get a step parenting therapist or step parenting coach, because I got that right when we got engaged, and it’s been incredibly helpful for me and also just understanding my role as a step parent.”
Chris co-parents his first child, Jack, with ex Anna Faris. Katherine revealed on the podcast that she feels “blessed” that they’re able to manage the situation so well.
“It takes a lot of work, but it works when everybody is willing to put in the work. And when it comes to ego, that definitely pops up for me, for sure, and I always go back to understanding that this isn’t about me, it’s about the child,” Katherine said about getting used to her role as a stepmom to Chris‘ oldest son.
