Keke said on the radio show that she wants to be “unbiased” as a podcast host and that’s why she was open to interviewing Jonathan despite his conviction.
She said in the interview, “You don’t agree with everything they did, you don’t love everything, but you got to have the conversation. You have to set the stage for them to speak and for people to watch and take what they want to take from it, so that’s why I was open and excited to do the interview.”
She went on to explain that her team decided to pull the interview and not release it because of the reaction it was garnering from fans. She said, “People felt it was insensitive. I always want to be respectful and understand where everybody’s coming from. If they’re not going to feel like they’re going to receive anything good from the interview, then okay, cool.”
According to Keke, she’s still interested in potentially releasing the episode someday to let the public hear what Jonathan had to say. The actress said she wants to give people a chance to form their own opinions and that she’s not one to judge.
