Kelly Clarkson Cancels First Shows of Vegas Residency Just Minutes Before Showtime, Explains What Happened

Kelly Clarkson has unfortunately been forced to cancel the first two shows of her Las Vegas residency at the last minute.
The 43-year-old singer is scheduled to spend summer 2025 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for her Studio Sessions residency.
Just 90 minutes before the first show was set to take place on Friday (July 4), Kelly took to her Instagram page to announce that the concert was not happening. She also is canceling the Saturday night show, postponing the opening night of the residency to July 11.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans. I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars,” Kelly began in a statement.
Kelly continued to explain what happened to cause the cancellation.

She continued, “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
“The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on,” Kelly concluded.
You can buy tickets for the residency on Ticketmaster or grab resale seats from Stubhub or Vivid Seats.
