“I have not spent a single dollar on Labubus – my daughter has,” Kevin said, not specifying which of the two daughters he shares with wife Danielle Jonas has caught onto the craze.
He went on to explain that she has a debit card of her own and after saving her money, she goes online to shop for the collectible toys.
He said, “So she saved up all her money. She buys these things on StockX with her debit card. And she’s like, negotiating on there, like putting in bids. She’s like, ‘Dad, it’s not really worth $75 but with shipping it comes up to $85. What do you think I should do?’ I said don’t buy it.”
Despite his advice, Kevin says new Labubu dolls just appear in the mail anyway after his daughter changes her mind about the purchase.
