Kristin Cavallari is sharing more details on what lead to her estrangement from her father.

The 38-year-old reality TV star appeared on the Tuesday (June 24) episode Harry Jowsey‘s Boyfriend Material podcast. During the episode, Kristin opened up about her complicated relationship with her father.

According to Kristin, her relationship with her father has always been complicated but things took a more serious turn after she became a parent herself. She revealed on the podcast that she hasn’t spoken to her father in “probably three years.”

She went on to share that cutting ties with her father was “one of the best decisions” she’s made and went on to give some insight into what happened that lead to her making that choice.

“He crossed the line with one of my boys and that’s a deal breaker for me, especially when he had zero accountability, no apology,” Kristin revealed during the podcast. Although she didn’t share details about what happened between her father and her son, she did elaborate on how serious the situation was.

“He traumatized my kids and I have no room for that in my life, and so that was it,” Kristin said during the podcast.

She went on to explain that if she were in a similar situation, she would have tried to repair their relationship and make amends for what had happened between her and her child. Kristin said on the podcast that she felt like her father didn’t put any effort into doing the same.

“I would be like, ‘I am so f—ing sorry.’ Showing up at your house, like, doing everything imaginable and my dad in a lot of ways was like, ‘OK,’” Kristin said on the podcast episode.
