Lorde Explains Why She Went Off Birth Control

Lorde is opening up about her decision to stop taking birth control.
The 28-year-old “Man of the Year” singer recently stopped by Jake Shane‘s Therapuss podcast where she talked about her upcoming album Virgin, which she will be dropping on June 25.
During their discussion, Lorde, who’s real name is Ella Yelich-O’Connor, explained why she decided to go of birth control.
Keep reading to find out more…“I just need to see what happens when I come off it,” Lorde explained. “I don’t know It was just a general band aid rip that I need to do at. It was quite gnarly not going to lie. It was so crazy, so crazy.
The Grammy winner continued, “I’m quite scarred from that and my mood was really crazy and I don’t know it can be a really crazy transition, but I also was like ‘oh I feel like myself in this different way and I still haven’t arrived at what the right thing for me is. I keep I don’t know it’s been a whole journey the birth control. It’s sort of like no perfect solution but whatever you do you’re killing it.
“I’m proud of you for listening to your body because it’s quite hard to do,” Lorde added. “I only started listening to my body two years ago. I was like ‘wow, she’s telling me something.’”
