Mariah Carey is sharing a rare insight into how she co-parents with ex-husband Nick Cannon!

The 56-year-old singer spoke to Harper’s Bazaar UK where she spoke about her co-parenting situation with her 44-year-old ex-husband.

Mariah and Nick were first linked in 2008 and share twins Monroe and Moroccan together.

According to Mariah, she tries to make sharing time between their parents as easy as possible for her kids.

“How do I say this? They spend time with him, and they have a good time; they spend time with me, and they have a good time. I want to make sure I’m always fair about the situation because it’s tough to grow up with divorced parents,” Mariah told Harper’s Bazaar UK.

Nick has a total of 12 children and has previously shared his own thoughts about co-parenting with Mariah.

He previously told PEOPLE, “There’s no hard feelings and ill will. Ultimately, it’s about putting the kids first and making sure they have the best childhood they could possibly have.”
