'Married to Real Estate' Canceled After 4 Seasons on HGTV, Stars Egypt Sherrod & Mike Johnson Reveal
Sad news in store for fans of Married to Real Estate!
Hosts Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson just revealed that their HGTV series has been canceled by the network after four seasons on air.
The married couple shared the sad news after returning from a family trip abroad on Tuesday evening (June 24).
“🐦🔥🐦🔥🐦🔥 Sometimes GOD will rip you out of a situation to set you up for your next!” Egypt captioned a shared post with Mike.

“Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we’re met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,” the couple wrote. “While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).”
“There’s more to say, and we’ll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise. We’ve been here before. We’ll keep counting those blessings – and keep it moving. Stay Tuned,” the statement concluded.
In the comments, Mike added, “God makes no mistakes. However, people and opinions do. We’ll discuss that on a later date though. We thank all the FAMS for rocking with us through it all. We appreciate the love and support. We’re not done🫡 We got us.”
Married to Real Estate first premiere in 2022, and aired it’s now final episode just a few weeks ago at the end of May.
Egypt and Mike have also appeared on other HGTV shows such as Rock the Block, HGTV’s Smart Home 2025, Property Virgins and Flipping Virgins.
