Matt Rife Joins Netflix's FTX Series 'The Altruists' as Real Life Figure Ryan Salame

Netflix has a limited series in the works, The Altruists, about the real life cryptocurrency exchange FTX, and comedian Matt Rife will be one of the series regulars!
He’ll be playing the real life businessman Ryan Salame, who is currently serving 90 months in prison after pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws and operating an illegal money-transmitting business. Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle are starring as the leads, Caroline Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried.
Here’s the official logline, per Variety: “The story of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, two hyper-smart, ambitious young idealists who tried to remake the global financial system in the blink of an eye – and then seduced, coaxed, and teased each other into stealing $8 billion.”
