The 37-year-old musician and music producer shared a sweet post to Instagram on Mother’s Day Sunday (May 11), paying tribute to the 37-year-old “Come Clean” singer and actress, who shares 3 kids with him, Banks, Mae and Townes. She also shares son Luca with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.
“When I scroll through my photos of us, there’s like 3 months of us back together before you’re pregnant with Banks? We’d kill our kids if they did that…but it really, really worked out for us, specifically me & the littles,” he began.

“Even though you were severely, hormonally repulsed by me during your first pregnancy, I remember being so excited that the top tier, class A mom I’d already seen you become to Luca, was going to raise whatever weird humans we brought into the world together. I love being parents with you, so much. Mostly because it gives me the front row seat to see how much our kids love you and there’s nothing sweeter. You’re there for the 1000 ‘moooom’ screams a day, but when you’re hiding in our bedroom or on a trip, or just slightly out of frame, I get to see their desperation on a whole different level. And for good reason… you make them feel safe, seen, understood, heard, & truly unconditionally loved,” he continued.
- “And they’re too young to even understand the half of it yet. They were born into a family where they’re free to become whoever it is they want to be, as many times over as it takes, and they’ll never know any other reality outside of full acceptance and support. And that’s the world you’ve built. That’s why other moms look to you, why other kids become your best friend on arrival…you just have this magic trick, where you make everyone feel celebrated for being them…even some of our kids’ little a–hole friends whom I have no patience for. You see the good because you are the good. And we love you something beyond.”
“Happy Mother’s Day ba. Now please go save millennial pop music, it needs you now more than ever,” he amusingly added.
“Every time bub. You’ve got the magic trick of words and making this whole damn crazy journey funny as hell. Love you my public flirt,” Hilary responded in the comments.
