Matty Healy is taking a dig at his ex, Taylor Swift.

The 36-year-old frontman of The 1975 made a comment while on stage during his band’s Glastonbury Festival set that seems to be targeted at Taylor.

The 35-year-old “Anti-Hero” singer dated Matty and fans believe many of the songs on her most recent album are referencing their relationship.

Matty can be seen in a clip recorded of his band’s set at Glastonbury Festival talking about his skills as a musician and songwriter.

“What this moment is making me realize is that I probably am the best. I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation. The best, what do we say… A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am,” Matty is seen telling the crowd during the performance.

This pointed word choice seems to be referring to a song Taylor wrote about their relationship.

In “The Tortured Poets Department” from the album by the same name, Taylor sings, “You left your typewriter at my apartment / Straight from the Tortured Poets Department / I think some things I never say / Like, ‘Who uses typewriters anyway?’”

If he chose to refer to himself as a poet on purpose, it wouldn’t be the first time Matty has reference his relationship with Taylor since their breakup.
