Despite their passionate fanbase, Phish didn’t secure a spot in the official Rock Hall 2025 class. Other hopefuls like Billy Idol, Mariah Carey, and The Black Crowes were also left waiting for another shot.

Still, the fan vote isn’t meaningless. The top seven vote-getters (including Bad Company, Cyndi Lauper, and Soundgarden) all earned an extra vote toward their final tally. It’s a nod to public opinion – just not the final say.
