SharkNinja is recalling approximately 1.8 million Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers due to reports of burn injuries caused by the lid opening during use and releasing hot contents. The recall is being conducted in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, following 106 reported burn injuries, over 50 of which involved second- or third-degree burns. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the pressure-cooking function of these appliances, which were sold across major retailers like Walmart, Costco, and Amazon. The recall is being coordinated with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, emphasizing the priority of customer safety and addressing the defect in cooperation with these agencies.

Consumers are urged to stop using the pressure-cooking function immediately, although other functions like air frying remain safe for use, ensuring continued utility of the appliance.

SharkNinja is providing free replacement lids for affected pressure cookers to ensure customer safety and mitigate the risk of further injuries from the defective units.
