In July 2021, Williams was kicked off Miami's football team for a brief period of time after being arrested on domestic violence charges. At the time, he was facing three counts of aggravated battery of a pregnant person, per ESPN. A Miami-Dade Police Department incident report indicated that Williams' ex-girlfriend was 31-weeks pregnant at the time and the two were living together.
