Brandon Aiyuk takes swipe at 49ers trade rumors
For the first time in a few years the San Francisco 49ers have experienced a relatively quiet offseason.
There's been no contract disputes or holdouts - Brock Purdy's deal was completed with little drama - and the biggest talking point has been the transition of big names to new places.
Gone are wide receiver Deebo Samuel, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, safety Talanoa Hufanga and others.
But it's the player who is still set to be in a 49ers uniform this season that continues to generate trade rumor headlines.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has seemingly been the talk of trade chatter for more than year - ever since the early portion of his contract dispute last year.
And despite suffering a torn ACL and MCL during Week 7 last season, those rumblings have persisted into the offseason.
Clearly, Aiyuk has noticed the chatter.
On Monday, Aiyuk posted about the widespread rumors on his YouTube channel.
"They was talking bout trading me while I was off Percocets /muscle relaxers and peeing in a cup by my bed," he wrote. "Couldn’t walk for 10 weeks ain’t nobody trading for me."

After agreeing to a four-year, $120 million extension last offseason it always seemed silly that Aiyuk would find himself back on the trade market.
For one, his contract makes him one of the top-10 highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL by annual salary.
Throw in that he's coming off a major knee injury and is unlikely to be 100 percent at the start of the season, and the chances of the 49ers recouping anything close to the star wide receiver's true on-field value was (and is) non-existent.
San Francisco is in a win-now window, thanks to the front office's efforts to re-sign/solidify their core pieces - Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and Deommodore Lenoir.
A healthy Aiyuk should be part of that equation, but he's clearly still miffed about the trade chatter that has continued to surround his name.
