Browns among laughing stocks of NFL in latest power rankings

The Cleveland Browns have been one of the most talked-about teams in the NFL throughout the offseason. A large reason for that has to do with their selection of polarizing quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, as well as the other three quarterbacks in Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel all competing for the starting job.

That said, none of those quarterbacks are anywhere near the top of the league, and many not even be in the top 32 of quarterbacks, and the roster as a whole leaves a lot to be desired. For those reasons, the Browns ranked 29th in Bleacher Report's power rankings.

"The Browns are still looking at a four-way camp QB competition involving Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders," Kristopher Knox writes. "I thought they might have parted with one of the four by now, and the fact they haven't makes me think they're nowhere close to establishing a Week 1 starter. That's a major issue because Cleveland will only have so many camp reps to go around. And if the Browns can't uncover at least an average starter this season, they'll have no chance of exiting the AFC North basement."

The Browns will likely be in line to draft another quarterback in 2026 to potentially be the face of their franchise, especially if they finish with another sub-five win season.
