• The Niners took Guerendo in the fourth round of last year's draft out of Louisville. Due to a banged-up backfield in San Francisco, he saw extended action, carrying the ball 84 times for 420 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 15 passes for 152 yards. 

• Guerendo is an exciting prospect as he is both a pounding runner and one with deceptive speed if he is able to get into the open field. He would be the perfect fit for a Harbaugh offense, but it would also be surprising to see the 49ers give up on him after just one season, even if they love their current running back room.
