Clippers' former starting point guard retires after legendary worldwide basketball career

Some of the best basketball players in the world never really make their mark on the NBA.

Milos Teodosic was one of those dudes. He played two NBA seasons for the Los Angeles Clippers, but his best work was done in a legendary European career.

It's all over now, as Teodosic has retired from basketball, according to BasketNews.com.

The point guard from Serbia signed with the Clippers before the 2017-18 season, and he played his age-30 and age-31 seasons in the NBA.

He started 36 of the 60 games he played for the Clippers. Overall, he averaged 8.0 points and 4.0 assists per game in Los Angeles.

The Serbian legend was a superstar overseas, though.

He won a World Cup silver medal in 2014 and an Olympic silver medal in 2016. He also won the EuroLeague and the EuroCup and was the 2010 MVP in EuroLeague play.

Teodosic's starring years came for Olympiacos in Greece and then for CSKA Moscow in Russia.

His later years have been spent with Virtus Bologna in Italy and Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.

Teodosic might barely ring a bell in the heads of NBA fans, but in the international basketball community, he'll go down as one of the great ones.
