Guardians predicted to replace Bo Naylor with 25 home run slugger
In some ways, it's fair to suggest that the Cleveland Guardians' season is over. It’s unfortunate that things have unfolded the way they have over the past few weeks for the Guardians, but they've been absolutely brutal recently, and that was evident by their 10-game losing streak.
On the flip side, it's fortunate that the Guardians have an above-average farm system, as long as the front office starts making the right decisions and plays some of those guys.
The Guardians haven't been calling up prospects recently, at least the ones who fans want.
It's been a tough situation, but they'll have an opportunity to continue improving their system in the 2025 MLB draft.
They were recently predicted to select Caden Bodine by The Sporting Tribune, an intriguing catcher option with a decent hit tool.
“High-contact hitters with a solid wood bat track record are the hot ticket for Cleveland. Sticking to my guns on Bodine over guys like Andrew Fischer and Conrad who get tabbed here; based on positional value and injury history.
“First mention of Anthony Eyanson comes up here, along with plenty of preps who are more speculative age/model-driven names that may or may not hold much credence,” they wrote.

It's no surprise that the Guardians are interested in someone with big-time bat-to-ball skills.
If there's one thing the Guardians have loved in recent years, it's players who can put the ball and play.
Unfortunately, their lack of power has hurt them at times; however, the Guardians play a different brand of baseball, and for the most part, it’s worked.
