How to watch CARS Tour Throwback Classic 2025: Full schedule, times, channel, live stream for Hickory racing

The annual CARS Tour Throwback Classic returns to Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, North Carolina this Saturday. Between the Late Model Stock Car race and the Pro Late Model race, nearly 70 cars have committed to compete, with some doubling up to compete in both.

One of the most anticipated races on the CARS Tour each year, the Throwback Classic will have $50,000 on the line for the Late Model Stock Cars and $30,000 to win in the Pro Late Model race. Those combined payouts make Saturday's event the highest paying night in the history of American pavement Late Model racing.

By the start of the week, 40 cars had filed entries to chase the $50,000 check at "The Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars." About 30 cars had entered the Pro Late Model race. Five drivers will be running double-duty for the day, going for a whopping $80,000 in winnings in one night.

Those drivers are 2024 Snowball Derby champion and 2024 CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion Kaden Honeycutt, 2023 CARS Tour throwback race winner Mason Diaz, 2023 CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion Caden Kvapil, and two drivers who have scored victories at North Wilkesboro Speedway, Conner Jones and Tristan McKee.

Saturday's 125-lap Throwback Classic will include Kvapil, who won his first career Late Model Stock Car victory at Hickory just two weeks ago. Landen Lewis, who sits second in CARS Tour points, finished second and will look for revenge this weekend. All six top finishers from the Jack Ingram Memorial 100 at Hickory will be competing in Saturday's main event.

As for the Pro Late Model side, 13-year-old Keelan Harvick will be looking to back up his victory at Hickory from July 12 with another CARS Tour win in the Pro Late Model 100-lapper this weekend. He will have some stiff competition this time around, though, including Honeycutt, Kvapil, Jones, Luke Baldwin, Casey Roderick, Spencer Davis, Dawson Sutton, Dylan Cappello and dozens more.

Last year’s Pro Late Model race at Hickory made for a wild finish, with a three-wide battle between Kvapil, Jones and Jimmy Renfrew that ended with Renfrew in victory lane.
