Manchester City make statement with star's omission from Club World Cup squad
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed his squad for the Club World Cup and one player's omission has sparked even more rumors.
Guardiola named his 27-man squad and Jack Grealish's name was not present on the roster. Grealish has already been in the headlines, with reports surfacing that teams from the Premier League and abroad are interested in the Englishman.
Where could Grealish land in the summer?
After a tough season with Manchester City, his omission from the squad makes his exit seem even more imminent. Grealish still has two seasons left on his contract, and his wages are sky-high at £300,000 a week.
With his wages so high, it's unlikely any clubs will buy Grealish outright, but a loan move with City paying a portion of his wages seems to be the most likely possibility.
Grealish has plenty of interest from other Premier League teams, including Tottenham and his former club Aston Villa.

Everton also appear to be monitoring the situation closely, as the Daily Mail first reported. A move to Everton would have to come in the form of a loan, due to the Premier League's rules on profit and sustainability.
Interest is also coming in from abroad, with newly appointed Bayer Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag keen on the Englishman, according to The Sun. Leverkusen is losing a key player in Florian Wirtz, and Grealish could be a good replacement.
