Penn State's Beaver Stadium one of the toughest places to play in CFB 26
Fans and gamers alike are chomping at the bit for the new EA Sports College Football 26 video game to come out, and Penn State fans have just been given another reason to be excited.
Today, EA Sports released its list of the Top 25 Toughest Places to Play in the game, and Beaver Stadium was listed as the 2nd-best home environment in the nation.
Here is what EA Sports' blog post said about the 25 stadiums: "The crowd. The noise. The overwhelmingly hostile atmosphere. See which teams you don't want to face on their home turf in our Top 25 Toughest Places to Play."
This is a huge honor for the fans in Happy Valley as they are listed only behind the legendarily raucous crowd in Baton Rouge at LSU's Tiger Stadium. With traditions such as the annual "White Out" game, the 106,000+ fans that attend each Nittany Lion home gcontest have made their presence felt over the years, and CFB 26 will reflect that.
Penn State has gone 19-3 at home over the last three seasons, and all three losses have been at the hands of Ohio State and Michigan. Aside from these two giants the Nittany Lions have been unable to slay, Beaver Stadium has been unimpeachable for anyone who plays there.
Playing against an opponent using the Nittany Lions at home will now be exceedingly difficult as the game's Home Field Advantage feature makes gameplay much more difficult for road teams at tough home environments.
