Barron, a versatile defensive back and Thorpe Award winner, was selected by the Denver Broncos, while Golden, a wide receiver known for his speed and big-play ability, was chosen by the Green Bay Packers. • Texas players drafted in 2025 NFL Draft

Here is a look at the Texas players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft:

    • Kelvin Banks, T, New Orleans Saints (No. 9)
Banks (6-5, 315), who swept the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award, gives the Saints an anchor on the offensive line. He was the third tackle selected in the first round and has the chance to a be a long-term answer for the Saints at the position.

    • Jahdae Barron, CB, Denver Broncos (No. 20)
Barron (5-11, 194) won the Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back. He is a versatile defensive back who can play multiple positions. He had five interceptions and 11 pass breakups last season.

    • Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers (No. 23)
Golden (5-11, 191) averaged 17.0 yards per catch with nine TDs as a home-run hitter for the Longhorns. The Packers got their vertical threat with Golden, who ran a 4.29 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He should thrive as a rookie with quarterback Jordan Love.

    • Alfred Collins, DT, San Francisco 49ers (No. 42)
Collins (6-5, 332) should carve out an immediate role as a interior rusher on San Francisco's defensive line. Collins had seven sacks and 18 tackles for loss last season. He's a high-upside Day 2 pick.

    • Andrew Mukuba, S, Philadelphia Eagles (No. 64)
Mukuba (6-0, 185) had five interceptions and six pass breakups for the Longhorns in 2024 He is an under-sized safety, but he makes for that with play-making skills and solid tackling.

    • Vernon Broughton, DT, New Orleans Saints (No. 71)
Broughton (6-4, 290) had 39 tackles and four sacks for the Longhorns. He will get time on the defensive front and can play multiple spots on a three-man front.

    • Gunnar Helm, TE, Tennessee Titans (No. 120)
Rookie quarterbacks love a good tight end. Helm is excellent in the short passing game, and he can get in the seams. He was under-valued in this draft.

    • Barryn Sorrell, EDGE, Green Bay Packers (No. 124)
Sorrell had six sacks and 11 tackles for loss for Texas last season and fits an area of need for the Packers, who are looking to beef up their pass rush.

    • Jaydon Blue, RB, Dallas Cowboys (No. 149)
Blue adds another option in the Dallas backfield, and he avearged 5.4 yard per carry for his career with the Longhorns. He could be a big-play back knowing he ran a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

    • Cameron Wiliams, T, Philadelphia Eagles (No. 207)
Williams slipped to the sixth round, where he could be a steal with the Eagles. He battled injuries late in the season but there is high upside.

    • Hayden Connor, G, Arizona Cardinals (No. 211)
Connor was not projected to be drafted. He is a 6-5, 320-pound guard who will have to fight for a roster spot.

    • Quinn Ewers, QB, Miami Dolphins (No. 231)
Ewers, who was the top quarterback recruit in the country in the high school, finally found a home in the seventh round with Miami. We like the potential with Mike McDaniel, especially if Ewers becomes a more-consistent vertical passer in that offense.

  • Most Texas players drafted in a single draft

The Longhorns had 17 players taken in a 12-round draft in 1984. Last year, Texas had 11 players taken in a seven-round draft, the most in program history. The Longhorns have a chance to break that record this year.

  • Which school has the record for most picks in a single NFL Draft?

Georgia had 15 players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, and that included five first-round picks led by No. 1 pick Travon Walker. Ohio State (2004) and LSU (2020) each had 14 players selected, and Michigan (2024) had 13 players taken in last year's draft after winning the national championship.

  • When is Arch Manning eligible for the NFL Draft?

Manning – the nephew of NFL legends Peyton Manning and Eli Manning – will be Texas' starting quarterback in 2025 for his junior season. He is projected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Manning passed for 939 yards, nine TDs and two interceptions and added 108 rushing yards and four rushing TDs last season. He is eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft, but also has two years of college eligibility left beyond this season.
