Warriors predicted to cut ties with NBA Champion for All-Star big man in blockbuster deal

The All-Star trio of Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green isn't getting any younger, but the door is still cracked open for one more opportunity at bringing home a championship.

After the Warriors were ousted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second-round of the Western Conference playoffs, it was clear as day how thin the Warriors are, especially when Curry isn't on the court.

However, even when the two-time NBA MVP is healthy and playing at an elite-level, the Warriors still need a big man...and fast.

In a predicted trade from Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey, the Warriors do just that and fill a massive need at the center position by acquiring a former All-star big man.

Golden State Warriors Receive: Nikola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball, 2026 First-Round Pick (top-5 protected)

Chicago Bulls Receive: Jonathan Kuminga (via sign-and-trade)

In the proposed deal, the Warriors would add another aging former All-Star talent in Vucevic to play alongside the aforementioned trio of Curry, Butler, and Green. The Dubs would also be adding Ball, who'd provide some much-needed backcourt depth after Curry, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody.

For the Bulls, they likely weren't re-signing Vucevic after next season as the former All-Star big man, who would be heading into his age 36 season when October 2026 rolls around. Adding Kuminga would give the Bulls what they hoped Patrick Williams Jr. was when they drafted him fourth-overall in 2019 before signing him to a five-year, $90 million extension, last summer.
