While Team USA has won back-to-back IIHF World Junior gold medals, it has struggled at the professional level. It hasn't medaled at the IIHF World Championship since 2021 when it earned bronze, and the Americans haven't won a gold medal since 1933.
Denmark, meanwhile, has never won a medal at the tournament. It will have a chance to win a Group B game in front of the home crowd.
